Barbara Lindgren Smith, 53, of Warren, Pa., died Thursday morning, July 21, 2016 at Warren General Hospital after a year- long battle with lung cancer. She was born December 5, 1962 in Warren, PA. Barb was a lifelong Warren area resident and a 1980 graduate of Youngsville High School, where she was a member of the school madrigals. She earned a scholarship in Ballet at the Juilliard School of Dance, New York City, NY. She had a great love of bringing two lives together as one, this was her life’s joy. She was a minister who provided unique and personal wedding celebrations. She married over 100 people. She had formerly worked as a waitress at Ribs and Bones, Conewango Valley Country Club and Jack’s Tap House. One of her greatest accomplishments in life was being a mother to her children and a grandmother. She had been crowned Miss Stateline at Stateline Speedway, she was an avid auto racing and NASCAR fan. Many people complimented her on her sense of style and always having impeccable polished fingernails. She enjoyed making people happy, was always a free spirited and generous woman. She was an avid reader! She adored and loved her 2 dogs, Gizmo and Mumfred. She is survived by her mother, Rita Fitzgerald Lindgren of Irvine, PA., her husband of 10 years, Bradley J. Smith whom she married March 16, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV., her children – Felicia Williams and her husband, R.J. of Sugar Grove, PA, Staff Sergeant Shawn Jenkins (USArmy) and wife, Mandi of Ft. Leavenworth, KS., Jasmine Diane Lindgren and Lars Axel Larson both of Warren, PA., Step-sons, Ellis M. Smith of Jamestown, N.Y., Adam Egger of Santa Cruz, CA., 1 Brother – Gary Lindgren of Richmond, VA., 4 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph “Lucky” Lindgren, and Grandmothers, Elvera J. Johnson and Victoria Lindgren McClelland and her older brother, David Lindgren.

A Celebration of her life will be conducted on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Warren State Hospital Interfaith Chapel with Rev. Dale Haight, officiating.
