Alice Sirianni

Alice Sirianni

Alice Irene Sirianni, 88, of Warren, PA. passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2012 after a brief illness. Mrs. Sirianni was born in Templeton, PA. and moved to Warren where she met her husband of 49 years, Michael (Mack) Sirianni. After working for Bell Telephone and New Process Company she devoted the remainder of her life to her husband, children, and extended family. Later in life, she took great pleasure from her friends and activities at the Allegheny Community Center.

Mrs. Sirianni was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Hilda McCoy Robinson, her husband, Michael, and sisters – Marty Lowry, Doris Rosenberg and Nancy Salerno. She is survived by her son – Chris Sirianni and his wife, Linda of Merce Island, WA and daughter – Rebecca Eldridge and husband, Brandel of Inverness, FL. Grandchildren – Scott Sirianni and his wife Lisa. Alex Sirianni and his wife, Anna, Bryan and Brittany Eldridge, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of the Warren General Hospital, Officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA. Elaine Kramer Bimber

Elaine M. Kramer Bimber, 84, of Russell, PA. died Thursday evening, November 29, 2012 at Warren Manor Nursing Home after an illness of the past year. She was born June 30, 1928 in Irvine, PA. to the late Patrick and Clara Petri Archbold. She was a Warren and Russell area resident most of her entire life. Elaine was a 1946 graduate of Warren High School and was employed as a stamper with Blair Corporation retiring from there after 17 years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Elaine was all about the grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley W. Bimber, 3 Sons – James A. Kramer and wife, Mary, William M. Kramer and wife, Twila, Ronald M. Kramer and wife, Stacy, 1 Daughter – Carole J. Mahan all of Warren, PA., her stepchildren – Denny Bimber and wife, Nancy of Scandia, PA., Gregg Bimber and wife, Pam of Pittsfield, PA., Rodney Bimber and wife, Ronda of Franklin, PA., Tim Bimber and wife, Betty Jo of Scandia, PA., Cinda Tarr and husband, John of N. Susan McDunn

Susan K. McDunn, 73, of Warren, PA. died Tuesday evening,

November 27, 2012 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. after an extended illness. She was born October 4, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harry and Mariel Jeanette Keller Hotelling. She has resided in Warren for the past 67 years and was a 1957 graduate of Warren High School. Sue was employed with Blair Corporation in the quality control dept. and also worked at Warren General Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church where she became Catholic 4 years ago and where she said she was at home. She was an avid cook, loved shopping and baking. She was a avid Steelers Fan in a devout Cleveland Browns home.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tom M. McDunn whom she married October 12, 1957 in Warren, PA. 3 Sons – Thomas M. McDunn, Jr. of Warren, PA., Todd M. McDunn and his wife, Theresa of Columbus, Ohio Troy K. McDunn and his wife, Caprice of Warren, PA. 1 Sister – Sally Ann Wood and husband, Tom of Palmyra, PA. 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Robert D. “Bob” Tucker, 91, of Warren, PA. died Monday evening, November 26, 2012 at Golden Living-Kinzua. He was born January 21, 1921 in Johnsonburg, PA. to the late Gilbert and Helen Horne Tucker. He has resided in Warren his entire life. Bob was a 1939 graduate of Warren, where he was a star basketball player. Bob had served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Seaman 1st Class, serving on the Great Lakes and Hawaii and guarding a light house. He was employed with Deluxe Metal as a parts assembler, retiring from there after 45 years service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he had served as a part time custodian. He was the Canterbury Court Newspaper Boy, enjoyed gardening, music, harmonica playing, walking the bike trail and watching the Warren High School Sports Teams.

He is survived by his 3 Children – Robert D. “Robby” Tucker, III and his wife, Sue, Bill A. Tucker and his wife, Dee Dee all of Warren, PA., Stephen Tucker and his companion, Gregory Tucker of Rochester, N.Y., 1 Brother – Neil Tucker and wife, Kitty of Warren, PA., 2 Sisters – Phyllis Cable of Warren, PA., Janice Lewis and husband, Retired Colonial Vincent of Hershey, PA., 3 Grandchildren – Emily Laird and husband, Price of Lawrenceville, GA., Megan Keiper and husband, Aaron and their Daughter – Emilyn of Stone Mountain, GA., Dori Dunst and husband, Michael and their sons Matthew and Braeden all of Cleveland, Ohio, 1 Cousin – Louise Taylor, several nieces and nephews also survive. Eleanor Salamon

Eleanor F. Salamon, 92, of Warren, PA. and Lake City, Pa. died Friday, November 16, 2012 in Painesville, Ohio. She was born February 21, 1920 in Warren, PA. to the late Frank J. and Leona Adamkavitz Blastic. She was a lifelong Warren area resident.
She was employed as a riveter with Bell Aircraft during World War II and was a floral designer with Virg-Ann Flowers & Gift Shop retiring after 25 years employment. She was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church and the church Altar Rosary Society. She was an avid reader and lover of music. Her family was the center of her life.

She is survived by her children – James Salamon of Mentor, OH – Sharlene Wojsiat and husband, Dennis of Lake City, PA., Sharon Marlene Koenig and husband, Greg of Palm Dale, CA., 2 Sisters – Mary Ann Rogers and Janet Carlson and husband, William all of Warren, PA., 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. William “Bill” Miller

William Miller

William R. (Bill) Miller, 82, of Warren, PA. died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at St.Vincent Health Care Center, Erie, PA. after a brief illness. He was born March 19, 1930 in Patton (Cambria Co.) PA to the late William and Laura Delpierre Miller. He has resided in Warren since 1961 moving here from Patton, PA. He was a 1948 graduate of Patton High School. He had served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as a Petty Officer 3rd Class. He earned two Masters Degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Biology and Education. He was employed with the Warren County School District as a school administrator for 30 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church where he served as an usher. He was a member of the Warren Knight of Columbus Council, Warren Eagles Lodge, Warren Elks Lodge, American Legion Post 135. Member and past president of P.A.S.R. and the Warren Lions Club. He was a longtime community volunteer with the Warren Bike Trail, Warren Y.M.C.A. and the Warren office of the Veterans Clinic.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Healy Miller whom he married August 20, 1955 at St. Mary’s Church, Patton, PA., 3 Children Glenn Miller and wife, Linda of Flower Mound, TX., Michelle Marion and husband, Cole of Warren, PA., Cindy Strachan and husband, Granville of Harrisburg, PA., 2 Brothers – Ronald Miller of Ebensburg, PA., Melvin Miller of Stone Mountain, GA., 1 Sister – Sally Mullin of Newark, DE., 4 Grandchildren – Caitlin and Ryan Miller both of Flower Mound, TX., James and Stephen Marion both of Warren, PA., several nieces and nephews also survive.

John R. Mangini

John R. Mangini, 85, of Warren, PA. died Tuesday evening at 11:50 P.M. November 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born February 17, 1927 in Warren, PA. to the late Peter A. and Myrtle Langworthy Mangini. He was a lifelong resident of Warren. John had served with the U.S. Marine Corp from 1945 to 1946 and again from 1950 to 1951 as a corporal.

He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church and a founding member of the Marine Corp. League. John was an avid bicyclist. John and his daughter Wendy rode across the country in 1990. John accumulated over 120 thousand miles on his bicycle. He was a former member of the Warren Bicycle Club. He later became interested in collecting antique “Hit” and “Miss” engines. He was a member of Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society, Cool Spring Power Museum and Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association. John’s highest priority was his family. He loved spending time with his family, which included parties, engine shows and traveling. He was loved by everyone for his humor and caring. A huge part of John’s life was his work. He loved working at the Warren State Hospital as the plumbing and heating foreman for 22 years retiring in 1989.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce M. Reynolds Mangini whom he married August 1, 1953 at First United Methodist Church, 4 Children – Peter Mangini and wife, Regina, Wendy Mangini Carlson and husband, Thomas all of Warren, PA., Polly Miceli and husband, John of Fredonia, N.Y., Gloria Burns of Warren, PA., 8 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter – Penny M. Mangini on October 1, 1968, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may call at the Donald E. Palmer L. Davis, Jr., 91 of Warren, PA. died Sunday morning, November 18, 2012 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. He was born June 18, 1921 in Warren, PA. to the late Palmer L. and Katherine Davis, Sr. He was a lifelong Warren area resident and a 1939 graduate of Warren High School. He had served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He earned a bachelors degree in accounting from the University of Pennsylvania. He was employed as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at United Refinery Company retiring in 1985 after 35 years employment. He was a member of Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, Conewango Valley Country Club, Conewango Club, Warren Elks Lodge, Warren Eagle Aerie, American Legion Post 135. Palmer had served on the Warren AAA board of directors. He enjoyed meeting his buddies to play cribbage weekly at the former Penn Glade Restaurant and the Warren Eagles.

He is survived by his son – Richard P. Davis, 1 Sister – Mary Spencer and her husband, Donald of Warren, PA., 5 Grandchildren – Lauren, Taylor, Allyson, Maxx and Matthew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Leuthold Davis who died October 12, 2005, 1 Daughter – Sally Berdine who died August 23, 2003. Joseph L. Siliano

Joseph Siliano

Joseph L. Siliano, 81, of Warren, PA., passed away on Friday evening, November 16, 2012. He was born on November 4, 1931 in Warren, PA. to the late Frank L. and Theresa Scarpelli Siliano. He was a lifelong resident of the Warren and Sheffield area. Joe began at a very young age helping with his father’s business, learning the trade and art of plastering. In 1951 to 1954, he left Warren to join the U.S. Navy and serve his country. Upon his return to Warren he continued to work in the family business until his fathers’ passing. Joe’s brother Jim helped carry on the tradition and they formed Siliano Bro’s Plastering. Joe was a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved riding, raced for many years and even owned a couple of cycle shops. He was also a member of the Vikings Motorcycle Club. In the 70’s Joe owned and operated the Sheffield Tavern. He often reminisced about all the many friends he made and the great times they shared at “The Tavern.”

He briefly managed the former Allegheny Hotel until Siliano and Son Plastering and Concrete was formed, with his son Steven. Joe was always recognized for being a hard worker. His work ethics carried him on until he retired at the age of 80. He always took pride in his craftsmanship, which brought his expertise into many homes and businesses throughout Warren and the surrounding areas. He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Warren Knights of Columbus #964, their bowling league, Warren Moose Lodge 109, American Legion Post 135, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 313. Joe could be found every Friday night with his friends at the local auction in Lander. He loved animals, especially his dog and horse.

He is survived by his daughter – Jodi Siliano , his son – Steven Siliano, 1 Brother – A. James Siliano and his wife Vilma, 2 Sisters – Minnie Menard, Mary Highhouse and her husband, Fred, all of Warren, PA., 3 Grandchildren – Mitchell, Dana and Erika as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great grandson, Trenton.

David McNeal

David Allen McNeal went home to His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 17, 2012. He was the son of David A. and Albert Allen McNeal, and was born in his parents’ apartment at 218 Main St., Towanda, PA. on 30 January 1924.
He was a graduate from Towanda High School 4 June 1942.

He was in the U.S. Army from 3 March 1943 to 28 March 1946 and served in England, France, and Germany with the 1265th Engineering Combat Battalion. He was a radio operator with the rank of technician 4th grade. He was graduated from Bucknell University with a A. B. degree in Economics in 1949.
He was employed as an auditor by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from 1 August 1951 to 20 February 1985 and as Warren County Supervisor, Field Accounting Service from 1953 to February 1985.

He read the Bible daily until cataracts prevented. He studied foreign languages and read the Bible in German, French, and Spanish as well as English. Old-time hymns were a great inspiration to him. He was an avid reader and genealogist, had a vast knowledge of historical facts, and enjoyed God’s Creation, especially astronomy and keeping weather records. He gardened and planted and pruned the large number of trees on the family homestead. He was a very devoted family man and they did everything together. He and his wife tithed to The Gideons International, Braille Bibles International, PCAP, and charities.

He is survived by his wife, Shurle Arlene Bergey McNeal whom he married in the Towanda Methodist Church (where they were members) on 4 April 1953, 2 Sons – Wayne Christian McNeal and Hollister David McNeal (Sheryle) and by twin grandsons Isaac Hollister McNeal and John Thomas McNeal all of Warren, PA., 1 Niece – Karen Andreoli (Rick) and their daughter, Kayla all of Mechanicsburg, PA.. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Donna Pursley in 2008.
