Frances Marie (Frannie) Peterson, 87, of Russell, PA., died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Warren General Hospital after a brief illness. She was born February 1, 1926 in Warren, PA. to the late Walter Curtis and Grace Blair Curtis Gordon. She grew up in Pleasant Twp. and has resided in Russell area most of her life and was formerly of Erie and Tidioute, PA. Frances was a 1944 graduate of Warren High School and was employed with the New Process Company, Erie City Mission, and Warren County Historical Society. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Red Hat Society. She loved the theatre arts, especially enjoyed dancing, her pets max and aggie. She was a very active and social person, who always left a smile on a person’s face and truly enjoyed life. She is survived by her 2 children – William J. Peterson, Jr. and wife, Phyllis, Pam Passinger and husband, Mitchell all of Russell, PA., 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, with one on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William John Peterson, Sr. whom she married November 8, 1946 in Warren, PA., 1 Sister – Marian Perry, 1 Grandson – Jonathan Peterson, and her father, who raised her, Charles Gordon. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 1to 2:00 P.M. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 P.M. with Chaplain David A.
