Leona M. Babcoe, 68, of Clarendon, PA., went to be with her Lord, Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Specialty Hospital, Erie, PA., after a brave battle with cancer. She was born January 21, 1948 in Cherry Tree, Indiana County, PA. Leona was the daughter of Oran and Lola Goss Frampton. She was a Warren area resident since 1973. Leona was employed as a nurse’s aide at the former Warren Nursing Home and was a clerk at the Clarendon Community Markets. She enjoyed crocheting, was an avid cook and baker. Leona had a very strong faith and loved the Lord dearly, she was ready to go home.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Todd L. Babcoe whom she married November 18, 1963 in Homer City, PA. 3 Daughters – Tracy Babcoe, Jeannine Childs, Joann Losey and husband, Robert all of Clarendon, PA., 1 Sister – Dorothy Mountan and husband, Leo of Blairsville, PA., 5 Grandchildren – Meagan Babcoe, Todd Albert Losey, Ashley Childs, Mason Losey, Allison Childs, 1 Great Granddaughter – Nova Whitcomb, her beloved dog, Spanky, several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother – George Frampton. A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St., Warren, PA., with Rev. Jay Maier, Pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
Interment will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery.
