Phyllis Alamenciak Pihlblad, 75, a resident of the Rouse Suites, Youngsville, PA. and formerly of Warren, PA. died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. after an extended illness. She was born May 7, 1937 in Erie, PA. to the late Charles and Helen Clapp Alamenciak. She has resided in Warren since 1959. Phyllis was a 1955 graduate of St. Benedict Academy High School and was a licensed beautician. She had been employed as a supervisor with the former Bell Telephone Co. and office manager of A Safeplace and Market Street Hearing Aid Center. She was a former member of Our Lady of Victory R.C. Church, Frewsburg, N.Y. where she was a catechism teacher and Eucharistic minister and a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, Warren, PA. and their church Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Russell Knitting Club, former member of the Conewango Valley Country Club where she enjoyed golfing. She cooked gourmet style and gave demonstrations for the mothers club and Jamestown Post Journal. She was an avid traveler, boater, fisherman, card player and enjoyed her social life. She had a great love for her cats. She was a strong and devout Catholic. She is survived by her daughters – Robin Susan Anderson and husband, Duane, Wendy Ann Pihlblad Wilkins and husband, Rodney all of Warren, PA., 3 Grandchildren – Rodney William Wilkins and wife, Makala, Mariah Alyssa Allen, Arick Edward Allen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Pilhlblad who died August 3, 2012 whom she married May 7, 1959 in Erie, PA. Friends may call at the Donald E. Church at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of the Ascension in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
