Obituary

Amanda D. Scouten, 36, of Warren, PA., passed away peacefully on Sunday May 31, 2026, with her family by her side following a courageous battle with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer.

She was born on September 6, 1989, in Corona California, daughter of Micki Keeney Monroe and Terris Monroe, formally of Riverside, CA., now of Warren, PA.

Amanda was raised in Riverside, California and moved to Warren, PA., in 2006.

She graduated from Warren High School in 2007. Following graduation, she attended Venango Teck earning her LPN Degree and then began her nursing career at Warren General Hospital. Amanda was attending Jamestown College pursuing her RN Degree prior to her diagnosis. Compassion and caring was her passion in life.

Amanda enjoyed spending time at Jake’s Rocks, kayaking with her husband, camping, especially at the Warren County Fair, spending time with her family, friends, and especially time with her fur babies Brizo and Balloo.

In addition to her parents, Amanda is survived by her husband Daniel Scouten whom she married on December 8, 2023, in Warren, PA; two brothers, Mike Monroe and his wife Cassandra, Jack Monroe and a sister Terra Monroe, all of Warren, PA., her grandmother Janice Acocks of Lone, California.

Also surviving are her in-laws, Scott and Joanne Scouten of Spartansburg, PA., brothers-in-law: Shawn Scouten and his wife Brittany of Corry, PA. and Kyle Scouten and his wife Cierra of Spartansburg, PA.; three nephews: Lucas Monroe, Emerson and Bodie Scouten and two nieces, Julianna Scouten and Lacey Scouten.

Amanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Shirey and Hugh Keeney.

A Celebration of Amanda’s Life will be held at 129 Pennsylvania Ave East Warren, PA, on Sunday June 7th 2026, from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Warren General Hospital, 2 Crescent Park, Warren, PA 16365 or Paws Along the River Humane Society, 212 Elm St. Warren, PA 16365.
