Anita Eckelmeyer Oaks, 85, of Warren, PA., died Thursday
evening, June 14, 2018 at Allegheny Health Network-St. Vincent,
Erie, PA., after an extended. She was born December 14, 1932 in
Warren, PA., and was a lifelong Warren area resident. Anita was
a 1950 graduate of Warren High School and was employed with
the Warren State Hospital as a telephone operator working there
for 32 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Warren
Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed meeting with her co-
workers and friends for lunch, playing cards and dominos. She is
remembered by her family as always being a loving, kind, giving
person, helping anyone she could. She often brought people who
had no one, home for dinner.
She is survived by her 3 daughters – Judy Lopez, and husband
David of Apex, N.C., Linda Rosenquist and husband, Earl of
Hermitage, PA., Terry Fachetti of Erie, PA.,
Her Brother – Frank Viola of Warren, PA., her Sister-in-law, Anna
Eckelmeyer of Phoenix, AZ., 4 Grandchildren, 3 Great
Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Anita was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Walter T.
Eckelmeyer who died in 1982, whom she married June 2, 1951,
her 2nd husband, Dale C. Oaks whom she married July 6, 1990
who died May 11, 2007, 1 Brother – Ronald Viola, 1 Sister – Fern
Jackson
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304
East Street, Warren, PA., on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 6 to 8
P.M., where a funeral and committal service will be conducted
Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Nancy Schwanke,
Chaplain of the Warren State Hospital, officiating.
