Obituary

Anna Jean Turner, 88, of Warren PA, died on Monday August 3, 2026, in the Warren General Hospital after an extended illness.

She was born December 11, 1937, in Clarksville, PA, the daughter of the late Oran Robert and Helen Marie Holben Reesman. Jean was a Warren area resident from 1973 to 2001, moving to Erie, PA, and moving back to Warren in 2013. She was a 1957 graduate of East Bethlem High School and worked with the Equal Opportunity Council Daycare Center for 18 years, retiring in 1996. Jean was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

On November 16, 1957, in Clarksville, PA, she married John Robert Turner, and they were married for 67 years, before Bob’s passing on November 8, 2024.

Jean enjoyed shopping, baking, crafting, and spending time with her family, especially her grand children. She had a knack for decorating her home for every holiday and season.

Jean is survived by her 5 loving children; Darla Heckathorn (Dennis Leinweber), Kimberly Hackney (Dick Lauffenberger), Donna Tomasone (James), Timothy Turner (Karen), and Brenda Toter (Michael) all of Warren; 8 grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Mandy Proper, Jammie Tomasone Clark, Aleshia Peterson Smith, Christopher Tomasone, Nicholas Bailey, Kyle Turner, and Jared Toter. Ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and Sara Reeseman (Sister-in-law) of Jefferson, PA. Plus her companion for the last year her little dog, Minnie,

In addition to her parents, and her loving husband, Bob; Jean was preceded in death by four sisters; Laura Barber, Mary Blair, Vera Sklad, Della Bradley; seven brothers; Homer Reeseman, Oran Reesman, Howard Reeseman, Jess Sprankle, Don Sprankle, Ted Sprankle, and Bill Sprankle.
