Obituary

Babette "Babs" Cecchini, of Warren, PA, died Friday morning, November 9, 2018 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home of Warren, PA. She was born in Eastern Pennsylvania to the late Bernard C. and Babette Buckler Kaiser. Before becoming a member of the Warren community for over 50 years, she lived in Northern New Jersey. Babs was a corporate director for Warren Erection, a developer and manager of real estate, and always there to support local and community activities. She was an accomplished poet with many of her writings being published. She is remembered for being a kind, thoughtful, and generous person. She established a memorial scholarship in honor of her son. She is survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as lifelong friend, Leo Pasini, of Warren, PA. In addition to her parents, Babette was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Cecchini, whom she married June 13, 1953 in Irvington, N.J., and who passed on April 19, 1997. Her son, Dr. Albert B.P. Cecchini, as well as one brother, Bernard Kaiser, also preceded her in death. Visitation for friends will be at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA, on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 6 to 8 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Marcus Briggs, Retired Minister, officiating.
