Betty Joyce Chambers, 77, of Sheffield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Residence in Warren, PA.

Born on October 24, 1940 in Renovo, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Sarah Kennedy Schmoke. Betty worked for many years with GTE Sylvania, retiring in 1998. She attended Emanuel United Church of Christ in Warren. Betty enjoyed taking vacations and adult coloring books. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren,

Betty is survived by her husband, Robert W. "Ebb" Chambers, whom she married on September 18, 1965; one daughter – Tammy Farnsworth of Youngsville, PA; 3 grandchildren – Michael Gafner, Janessa Shepherd, and Jason Skaggs; 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Layna Gafner, and one brother, Donald Schmoke, Sr.

At Betty's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Sheffield Cemetery.
