Brian William Peterson, 77, of Warren, PA, died on Monday August 3, 2026, in the Warren General Hospital, after an extended illness.

He was born in Kane, Pennsylvania, McKean County on January 30, 1949, the son of the late Carl M. and Olive Mae Tunall. Brian was a 1966 Graduate of Kane Area High School. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. Brian worked for over 32 years at the Warren State Hospital as an Electrician and in Information Technology, retiring in 2002.

Brian was a longtime fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, an active member of the B-52 Stratofortress Association, a Civil War buff who enjoyed visiting battlefields especially Gettysburg and loved listening to music and had an encyclopedic knowledge of one hit wonders.

On December 3, 1971, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Warren, Brian married the former Joan Cheasman and they have married for over 54 loving years.

In addition to his loving wife, Joan, Brian is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Peterson, of Erie, PA, and Jeremy Peterson and wife, Jenn of Warren, PA; one brother, John Peterson

In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Patrick Carley

Family will receive friends on Friday August 7 th 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 am in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 306 Conewango Ave., Warren, PA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the church with the Rev. Dr. Dale Haight, officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Warren, PA. The Donald E.
