Obituary

Carol E. Scalise Dalrymple, 74, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 after a brief illness surrounded by her family. She resided in Huntington Beach, CA, but spent several months each summer in Erie visiting family and friends with her husband, Jerry, who passed last September. She was born on February 10, 1939 in Weldbank, PA. to the late James A. and Mary E. Griebel Scalise. Carol graduated from Warren High School in 1956 and continued her education and graduated in 1959 from St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing in Erie, PA. Carol thoroughly loved her grandchildren and was an avid reader. She is survived by her 3 children – Kevin C. Dalrymple of Orange, CA., Mark J. Dalrymple of Evergreen, CO., and Susan M. Hillenbrand and her husband, Pat of Westminster, CA, 3 Grandchildren – Nicole Dalrymple, Sean and Christina Hillenbrand, 1 Sister – Joanne Jewell and husband, Charles of Youngsville, PA., James A. Scalise and wife, Susan of Warren, PA., several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry C. Dalrymple who died September 10, 2012 whom she married August 20, 1960. Friends may call at the gathering space of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M.with Rev. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating, assisted by Deacon Joseph Lucia. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
