Carol J. Dalton, 84, of Sheffield, PA, died on Saturday June 6, 2026, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House, after a period of declining health.
She was born in Barberton, Ohio on July 8, 1941, the daughter of the late Clifford D. and Evelyn M. Parsons Snyder. Carol and her family moved when she was young and has been a resident of the Barnes, Sheffield Area for over 75 years. Carol was a 1959, graduate of Sheffield High School. She worked for the Warren National Bank in Sheffield, for a couple of years as a bookkeeper. Then in 1970, they welcomed their one and only son, Greg and she remained a stay at home from there on, which in her eyes was her greatest accomplishment.
On December 13, 1969, in Bethany Lutheran Church, Sheffield, PA, she married Bill R. Dalton, and they spent almost 50 years together, before he passed on October 20, 2017.
Surviving are her loving son, Greg Dalton and wife, Julie, of Warren, PA; sister, Barb and brother in law, Ray Conquer of Barnes, PA, one brother, Clifford Snyder of Central Bridge, NY; good friend, Elaine Cool of Rock Cave, WV; her fury grand dog, Finley, and several nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, Bill, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Yonkie
Family will receive friends on Wednesday June 10, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St. Warren PA. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm in the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Culp, pastor of Covenant Methodist Church, officiating. Private burial will be with her husband, in Sheffield Cemetery.
