Christopher James Hairr, 49, of Warren, PA, passed away on Sunday August 30, 2026, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after an extended illness.
He was born in Gastonia, NC, the son of the late Norman L. Hairr and Mary Eileen Kiser Saylor, who survives. Chris was a graduate of the Warren Area High School, Class of 1996. He went on to Hiram Andrews Center, in Johnstown, PA, where he achieved an associate’s degree in accounting, and he also obtained an accounting degree from Colorado Technical University. He held various labor jobs in the area over the years.
Chris loved Pepsi, playing guitars and music, playing video games on his computer, had a love for all animals and enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a special relationship with his “Cuz” Beth who provided excellent loving care for him, through his illness.
He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Eileen Saylor, of Warren, PA, his brother Jonathan Hairr, of North Carolina; Uncles; Jonathan Kiser of Warren, James (Janice) Kiser of Harrisburg, John Kiser of Russell, Mark (Melinda) Kiser of Warren, Michael Kiser of Warren, Alan (Renee) Kiser of Warren, and Kenneth Kiser of Warren; Aunt Barbara Jean Kiser of Warren; special friend, Lori Anderson of Warren, and many cousins and extended family.
In addition to his father, Norman, Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Almond and Jean Kiser and Bill and Edna Hairr; Uncle Christopher Kiser; and cousin, Eric Kiser.
Family will receive friends on Thursday September 10, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell, St. Warren, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am in the church with Rev. Mark O’Hern, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Warren, PA. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through the Warren Music Conservatory, 220 Pennsylvania Ave. W. Warren, PA 16365.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to all the caregivers over the last few years that have provided excellent care and support to Chris and his family during his lengthy illness.
