Obituary

Dennis G. Lore, 73, of Youngsville, PA, died on Monday September 14, 2026, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House, after an extended illness, with his loving family by his side.

He was born at home in Irvine, PA, on May 3, 1953, the son of the late Thomas and Doris Crane Lore. He lived in the Irvine/Youngsville area his entire life. Dennis worked for over 30 years with the National Forge Company as a machinist. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter. He dressed as Santa Clause for over 30 years, attending numerous holiday events and parties for many families. Dennis enjoyed Car Shows, as well as Drag Races.

He married the former Ida Meacham on June 29, 1985, in Warren, PA.

In addition to his wife, Ida, Dennis is survived by his 3 sons, Willy Byler of Ohio, Ben Lore of Centerville, PA, and Anthony Lore and wife, Catisha of Warren, Pa; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Glover and husband, Paul of Bradford, PA and one brother, Howie Lore of Winchester, VA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Allyson; one sister, Ruth Henton; and one brother Samuel Lore.

Family will receive friends on Saturday September 19, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, 179 Davis St. Youngsville, PA 16371. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 pm in the church with Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, officiating. Private burial will be in Chandlar’s Valley Cemetery.
