Dorothy J. Hanson, 88, of Warren, PA., died Thursday evening, April 29, 2021 at Warren Manor Nursing Home, Warren, PA., after an extended illness. She was born February 7, 1933 in Warren, PA. Dorothy was the daughter of William Glenn and Margaret E. Eshbaugh Cook. She was a lifelong Warren area resident. Dorothy was a 1951 graduate of Warren High School. She was employed as a receptionist with the former Dr. Erickson and Dr. Walters medical offices. She had also worked as a waitress at the former Star Diner, G.T.E. Sylvania and Whirley Industries.

She was a member of the former Epworth United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 66 years, John C. Hanson whom she married at Epworth United Methodist Church, Warren, PA. on April 22, 1955, 2 Children – Laurie K. Carlson of Warren, PA., Tom Hanson and wife, Kathy of Trumbauersville, PA., 1 Brother – Glenn "Bud" Cook of Warren, PA., 2 Step Grandchildren – Matthew & Ben Yeskey, 3 Step Great Grandchildren – Josh, Dylan and Morgan, several nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
