Ellen L.
Streich
May 11, 1953 — Oct 30, 2026
Warren, Pennsylvania
Ellen Lyn Reinhard Streich of Warren, PA died unexpectedly at St. Vincent Hospital on Friday October 30, 2026, at the age of 73.
She was born in Philadelphia on May 11, 1953, to the late Dr. Harold and Eileen Murray Reinhard. She grew up on the grounds of Warren State Hospital, an environment that profoundly shaped her curiosity and sense of humor as a child. There were countless stories of her and her siblings exploring those grounds and engaging in hijinks, stories often shared and reshared at family reunions.
Upon graduating from Warren High School, she completed an education in history at Duquesne University. She could always be counted on to share her learning, as well as an infectious laugh. Those qualities were in so many ways her defining traits. While she is laid to rest in Warren, she lived an adventurous life, settling in the Bay Area during the rough and tumble times of the Dot-com boom. Gone too early, she lived many lifetimes on this earth.
Family members recognize that she was everyone’s favorite aunt, despite tireless competition from her two surviving sisters Sheila Reinhard and Kerry (Sean) Abbott. She is also survived by her brothers Jerome (Nancy Cady), Michael Reinhard, and a sister-in-law Susan Long. Other family members include her nephews and nieces Josh (Casey) Tellman, Amy (Shawn) Johnson, Erin and Michael Reinhard, Patrick (Allison), Mairin, and Nora Augustine, Zachary and Kyle (Bethanie) Reinhard. Perhaps few recognized her generosity with loved ones quite like her great nephews and niece – Ryath, Ryleigh, and Brenden Johnson, and Tony (Jenna) Nadeau.
Ellen was pre-deceased by her parents, brother Mark Reinhard, and sister-in-law Katherine Reinhard. Wikki, her cat, will miss her terribly, just as those who ache in surviving her. She was truly loved.
A Celebration of Ellen’s Life will be announced and held in the spring of 2027. The Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc. has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.lewisfuneralhomeinc.com., or on the funeral home Facebook page.
