He was born on February 6, 1941, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late George H. Alburger II and Mildred Duerr. He was a graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School, Class of 1958. After high school he enlisted in the US Marine Corps, serving from 1966 to 1968. George lived in Las Vegas, NV, for over 26 years and returned to Warren, PA.

George worked as a Warehouse Manager, for Levinson Brothers in Warren, PA, and worked for Cashman Photo in Las Vegas, NV. He was married on July 13, 1963, in Hatboro, PA, to Carole (Swyers) Alburger.

George is survived by his wife, Carole; one son, Kevin Alburger; daughter-in-law, Shaunta Alburger; one grandchild, Ruby Alburger, all of Warren, PA; two sisters, Elaine Berry, of Zephyrhills, FL, and Debbie Devine, of Sevierville, TN, and one brother, Tom Tomlinson, of Auburndale, Fl; George is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother Robert Alburger, of Dade City, FL.
