Obituary

John C. "Curt" Hanson, 90, of Warren, passed away on Sunday December 26, 2021, in Warren General Hospital. He was born in Youngsville, on September 8, 1931, the son of the late Sheridan and Edith (Falconer) Hanson. After High School he enlisted with the United States Army and served during the Korean War. Curt married the love of his life, Dorothy J. (Cook) Hanson, whom he married in Epworth United Methodist Church, on April 22, 1955, Dorothy passed in April of this year. Curt Retired as an inspector with the National Forge Co. of Irvine. He enjoyed being outdoors and had a special place in his heart for his cabin, he would hunt, fish, search for Indian arrowheads and other artifacts. In his later years he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, reading, and puzzles. Curt is survived by his two children; Laurie Carlson, of Warren, and Tom and Kathy Hanson of Trumbauersville; two step grandchildren, Matthew and Ben Yeskey; three step great grandchildren, Josh, Dylan, and Morgan; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Curt was preceded in death by six brothers; Frank, Alan, Sherman, Clare, Laverne, and an infant brother Leroy; two sisters, Patricia and Kathryn; and one niece Sally Lindell. A Private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
