John F. Smith, 77, of Warren, PA, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Warren General Hospital.

John was born on October 2, 1937 in Warren, PA, the son of the late John W. and Alice J. Bliss Smith. He was a longtime resident of Warren having owned and operated Smith's Bait Shop and Scandia General Store for many years. He was a founding member of the Warren Archery Club and a member of the Youngsville American Legion Post 658. John enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.

John is survived by his three children, Jeffrey M. Smith and his wife, Michelle, of Cumming, GA, Luanne M. McConnell of Orlando, FL and Gregory J. Smith and his wife, Heather, of Cary, NC, 5 grandchildren, and his former wife, Betty Lou Smith of Warren.

There will be no visitation as John generously donated his body to the Humanity Gifts Registry of Pennsylvania. A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced.
