Obituary

Kathleen Ann "Katie" Rooney, 37, of Folsom, PA and formerly of

Warren, PA died in Colwyn, PA on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 after

a long battle with the disease of addiction. She was born March

26, 1977 in Worcester, MA. Katie was a resident of Folsom, PA.

for the past 15 years and was a 1995 graduate of Warren Area

High School and a 1997 graduate of Wilma Boyd School of

Pittsburgh, PA. She had been employed as a flight attendant with

U.S. Airways. Katie was a former member of St. Joseph R.C.

Church. While in high school she was active in softball,

basketball and loved cheerleading. She enjoyed music, dancing

and fashion. She will be remembered for her spunk, contagious

giggle, huge heart and beautiful blue eyes.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann O'Neill Zdarko and her

husband, Dan of Warren, PA., her father, Richard Rooney and his

wife, Patti of Hudson, MA., 1 Sister – Christine Rooney of

Pittsburgh, PA., Half-Brother – Justin Rooney of Auburn, MA.,

Half-Sister – Liz Rooney of Worcester, MA., Step Brothers – Rich

Zdarko of Warren, PA., Tobin Zdarko of Broomfield, CO., several

nieces, nephews, cousin, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents –

Howard and Mary Margaret McGraw O'Neill.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304

East Street, Warren, PA., Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 2 to 4 and

6 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:45 PM

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday, March 30,

2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania

Avenue West, Warren, PA., Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor,

officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Those
