Kathleen Zigler, 84, of Warren, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at the Hospice House of Warren on August 27, 2026, following an extended illness.

She was born on February 19, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Elizabeth Weaver.

Kathy was a survivor of the polio epidemic of the 1950s, during which she was hospitalized at the D.T. Watson Home for two years. During her time there, she had the opportunity to meet the famous Dr. Jonas Salk, who developed the polio vaccine.

Kathy was a proud graduate of the Mt. Lebanon High School Class of 1960 in Pittsburgh.

Kathy moved to Warren, where she married John T. Chiodo. Together, they raised two daughters, Kimberly (Kevin) Meyer and Adriene (Randy) Albaugh, both of Warren. John T. Chiodo preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Zigler; her daughters, Kimberly (Kevin) Meyer and Adriene (Randy) Albaugh; two grandchildren, Meredith (Jed) Smith of Erie and Logan Meyer, along with his partner, Alicia Vavala; and her great-granddaughter, Harper Smith, who brought her the greatest joy.

Also surviving are her siblings, Robert Mustin of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; Maureen (Scott) Griffith of Levittown, Pennsylvania; and Marilyn Parfet (Rick Calhoun) of Denver, Colorado. Her dear cousin, Joanne Gigliotte, survives in Rockledge, Florida, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her first husband, John T. Chiodo, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Margaret Mustin.

Kathy began her banking career at Warren National Bank and retired from PNC Bank after 30 plus years of service. Following her retirement from banking, she worked for Cochran and Zandi Lumber Company for five years.

Burial will be private at the request of the family.
