Obituary

Clarendon, PA lost a legend on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Lowell A. Blum, 84, passed away doing one of the things he enjoyed most: playing the electronic machines and tabs while drinking a cold Yuengling Lager at the Town Taverne and the Clarendon VFW. Despite his complaints of high utility bills and small messes left behind when his daughters came to visit, he loved them most.

Under the “Grumpy Old Man” exterior was a man with a big heart that touched anyone who crossed his path. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Stasha Hawk Blum; one son, Lowell Jr., Brothers, Wesley and Raymond and a sister, Pauline Miller.

His is survived by a sister, Shirley Moore of Ellicottville, NY, four daughters, Cindy Munksgard (Jon) of Warren, PA, Penny Blum, Paula Everill and Kelly Goodroad (Michael) of Tulsa, OK as well as 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews amongst many other family and friends.

There will be no formal services at this time. The family invites everyone to a celebration of life Friday, May 15th from 5:00 PM until the fire burns out at Lowell’s home, 11 Railroad St. Clarendon. Saturday May 16th from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm for close family and friends that missed Friday Night, bring your stories and chairs.. Lowell will be buried on top of his son’s grave in Barnes Cemetery.

The Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc. has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.lewisfuneralhomeinc.com., or on our Facebook page.
