Mary Louise Burns, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025. She was born on November 25, 1935, in Sheffield, PA. She was the daughter of Roy and Mary Sversko Blum. She was a lifelong resident of the Brookston/Sheffield area and was a graduate of Sheffield High School. She loved her family and always thought of others and put everyone's needs above her own. She made it a point to keep in touch with many friends and family members throughout her life. Mary will be greatly missed by her husband, Larry, whom she married on August 24, 1957, son, Robert Burns, daughters, Linda Young (Jeff), and Cindy Wargo (Dave), three grandchildren, Sara Pittock, Andrew Wargo (Elizabeth), Kathryn Karney (Louis Haas), three great grandchildren, Ryan Wargo, Robert Wargo, Iris Haas, nephew, Christopher Blum, brother-in-law, Fred Burns (Lewelyn), several nieces, nephews, cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Michael and Susan Miko Sversko, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Archie and Gladys Carlson Burns, brother and sister-in-law, Clayton "Gene" and Rose Blum, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wendall Burns (Betty), nephew, Ange Blum, many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A private funeral service was conducted at the convenience of the family with Fr. Richard C. Tomasone, Pastor of St. Joseph R.C. Church, officiating.
