Mary Catherine "Mary Kay" Scott, 85, of N. Warren, PA. died
Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice
Home after a brief illness. She was born May 8, 1929 in Butler,
PA. She was the daughter of John F. and Martha Park Wilson.
She was a longtime Warren area resident and a 1947 graduate of
Butler High School. She earned her associates degree in nursing
from Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed
as a registered nurse at Warren General Hospital and Warren
State Hospital where she retired from after 20 years. She was a
member of North Warren Presbyterian Church, enjoyed traveling,
playing cards with lady friends, Friday Night Fish Fries,
snowmobiling, bowling, square dancing and the Sheffield Senior
Center.
She is survived by 2 children – Merle "Mike J." Scott and wife,
Wendy of Russell, PA., Nancy Deming and husband, John
"Auggie" of Clarendon, PA., 1 Brother – James D. Wilson and
wife, Ruth of Valencia, PA., 4 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson,
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
husband of 46 years, Russell "Bud" M. Scott whom she married
May 5, 1951 in Valencia, PA. who died November 11, 1997.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304
East Street, Warren, PA. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 2 to
4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a funeral service will be conducted
Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Burfoot
"Buddy " Ward, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Oakland
