Rose Mary Landon, 89, of Warren, PA, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, died on Wednesday June 24, 2026, at the Rouse Home.

She was born November 23, 1936, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late George and Rose Landon. She was educated in the Pittsburgh Public Schools; graduated in 1958 from Clarion State Teachers College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education; earned a master’s degree in Elementary Education in 1963 from Penn State University and continued with post graduate education.

Rose Mary was an elementary teacher at Jefferson School in Warren for 40 years, retiring in 1998. She had been a member of the Warren Shakespeare Club, and the Blue Stocking Club. She served on the Board of the Friends of the Warren Library. Rose Mary was an active member of the First Lutheran Church of Warren, and volunteered at the Warren Public Library, the Crary Gallery, and the Sharing Place.

Rose Mary is survived by two sisters; Ann Freyvogel and Gail Shemm both of Pittsburgh; 3 nieces and 3 nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; and many treasured friends.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. A small gathering will be announced and held at First Lutheran Church at a later date.
